50 years after the Lunar landing, Shaun and the team at Mossy Bottom Farm are preparing themselves for a Lu-La landing this Autumn … Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon

The European Space Agency have partnered with Aardman and STUDIOCANAL to prepare Shaun for his first space mission, in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11’s successful lunar landing

It’s one small step for lamb and one giant leap for lamb-kind as Shaun the Sheep deftly handles his first zero gravity flight in preparation for his first space mission in Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, launching this Autumn.

Shaun was granted exclusive access to the specialized ‘Zero G’ Airbus A310, during one of its parabolic flights and trained under the supervision of the European Space Agency’s team.  This special flight offered Shaun insight into the rigorous training all astronauts embark on before their missions – most recently including the likes of Luca Parmitano who is readying himself for his second mission on board the International Space Station, launching July 20th which itself marks the 50th Anniversary of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landing on the moon.

The Director General of the European Space Agency, Jan Wörner, commented “ESA is very happy to have helped Shaun in his big space adventure”. ESA will be working further with Aardman and STUDIOCANAL as Shaun, Bitzer and the Flock ready themselves for their first space escapade with dedicated activity planned across STUDIOCANAL’s European territories as part of this exclusive collaboration.

Shaun the Sheep’s highly anticipated return to the big screen will herald the arrival of a mystery visitor from far across the galaxy…

…an impish and adorable alien called LU-LA who crash-lands near Mossy Bottom Farm, Shaun soon sees an opportunity for alien-powered fun and adventure as he sets off on a mission to shepherd LU-LA home.
