(Now Closed) HOT MESS

A comedy show set in a public bathroom? You gotta be shitting me...

After great success with their last two shows, the brains that brought you Noughty Girls: a 2000s pop-culture comedy and Europe Won’t Fix You, are back with a brand-new show and it’s a hot mess. Literally.

Hot Mess is the latest offering from award-winning Sydney comedy collective The General Public. Set in a public bathroom, the show lets audiences in on the secrets and scandals that happen behind normally closed doors.

Instead, Hot Mess leaves the door cracked open to a place where the public and the private clash, where friends and strangers collide, and these women are throwing it all in the air and forcing you to take a long, hard drunken look in the mirror. And yes, we do have a spare tampon for you.

General Public “have built a cult following with their fast-paced and outrageous stage shows. They have a knack for finding the madness in the mundane and this show cements their position as ones to watch in Australian comedy.” (Media Release)

Hot Mess from The General Public plays 15 -26 October as part of FreshWorks Femme at Old 505 theatre. Tickets here.
